.December.28.2002.:
Wow...time sure is fast...after Christmas we now have News Years to celebrate!

.
Anyway, I've made some more cosmetic changes to my
site. The most obvious is the header image that you see on every page. Well, if you are a new visitor,
I had the same image previously but it didn't have the "sketch" effect on it...
.
I think it looks cool now (plus, the original header image was about 20KB
--
, the current one above right now is just 14KB). Another change is the
background. Instead of the plain dark greenish blue color, I've made a stripe (look closely) image
for the background. It gives a better aesthetic ambience to overall site design (or so I think
)...
.
Those of you who visit here regularly (just in case there really are regular visitors...
)
will notice also that I have removed my plan to write a DirectInput tutorial in the tutorials page. This is because,
as most of you might have known already, DirectX9.0 has been released. And I don't know yet what has been
added/changed to DirectInput in DX9.0...and I don't have any plans to write a tutorial for an old
version of DirectX...
.
Overall, I'm happy with the direction that my site is heading (thanks to those that have given
their suggestions and encouragements!). This site is starting to look and function A-OK!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

.December.24.2002.:
Added another minor addition to the look of the site...I placed border on the body table of
every page...
. Also, I've placed some image links to popular
websites on the Internet. Check it out.
That's all for now. Tomorrow is Christmas!
.

.December.18.2002.:
Wow, Christmas is near...just a few more days to go!
.
(I do not have the right smiley image/icon at the moment, hence the rolling-smiley icon...
).
Added a new header of my site on top. I think that header adds a better over-all look
to my site. I have also added some pop-up text on my menu (go ahead, put your mouse
over the menu on the right)...I used the free Overlib code. I forgot the URL where to
download it at the moment, I'll update you where to grab this Overlib code again
soon. The code was written by Erik Bosrup.
I have also noticed that my first math tutorial didn't look right when viewed with
Netscape or Mozilla browsers. After some lengthy investigation (ie, 15 minutes
),
I discovered it was because I am using Unicode characters in the tutorial...and it
seems Netscape / Mozilla browsers don't show 'em like Opera and IE do...
.
I'll update the tutorial when I have time ASAP, changing the theta character into 'Q' (hey,
it's the closest looking character in the alphabet -- for me at least), and the less than
equal than character to '<='.
A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU GUYS!

.December.14.2002.:
Uploaded today my first math tutorial, it's an introduction to vectors. Head over
to my tutorials section and check it out...
I got myself an award today, it's the 2002-2003 Golden Web Awards!
.
I was fortunate enough for people to vote for my site to have won this, so if you're one of
those who voted for me and reading this: THANK YOU!
Exams are finally over, I'm hoping I get good grades...
I'll get started with the texturemapping tutorial ASAP, now that "school-stress" is out of the
way (FYI: I write my tutorials at night, so it might take a few days for it to finish).
That's all, keep signing my guestbook! Suggestions and everything may be posted on my
forums also. Thanks!

.December.11.2002.:
Added a new guestbook to my site! The link to my guestbook is found on the right side
of the screen. Sign in and post anything (comments, reactions, suggestions, etc.) -- no
profanities please...
...let's keep things good to the
eyes of everyone...
I have updated Part13 of my tutorial a bit (in fact, the update is somewhat negligible --
I just changed an "a" to "that"...hehe). I also have updated the .css, making codes
and the quote below have dotted and dashed border, respectively.
You will also notice that I have made another minor cosmetic change to this News Page,
this is so that my past news can be viewed by visitors...
That's all. I have an exam to study...
.

.December.10.2002.:
I now have a huge burden off my shoulder...the interpreter that we were required to
submit as our project in school went better than I expected (my part interpreted the
code A-OK...but the original language was trimmed down a bit due to lack of time)...except
for the bug in one of my groupmate's module (some error in semantic analysis), I hope we
got an OK score...that project really took a lot out of me (NOTE TO SELF: DON'T CRAM NEXT TIME!)
Anyway, this week is our finals week in school. This means I won't be starting
any new tutorials until next week or so. I've also started (a good many days ago)
in what will be a 3D math tutorial series in my site...so watch out for it...
I have a new 88x31px link-back button (courtesy of Trinh Nguyen -- thanks dude!). You can now link back to my site
with that button, grab it on my links page...
.
As always, if anyone of you wants to reciprocate (aka swap) links with me, please say so...
.
Or if you have any news that you want me to post on my site, feel free to let me know...how?
Just post in my forum (or send
me a private message there). Thanks!
